Observing what your child is doing/saying, Waiting for your child’s response and Listening to your child are three main strategies which should be used with your toddler. This is also called as OWLing.

As busy adults, we tend to do daily activities according to our pace. But do you think children can catch up with our pace? NO. This could be a reason why we have many late talkers as our children have no motivation or interest in communicating with the adults.

OWLing helps the adult to let the child take the lead and this technique has been used in therapy sessions to enhance the speech of our toddlers.
